Here's the recipe:
Apple Walnut Biscuit Ring
Sauce:
4 T butter
4 ounces cream cheese
1/4 C brown sugar
1/2 C maple syrup
1/2 t cinnamon
1 apple - peeled, seeded and diced
1/2 C walnuts - roughly chopped
1 can large buttermilk biscuits (eight biscuits)
1/2 C granulated sugar
1 t cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350℉. Prepare a tube pan by lightly spraying with baking spray.
In a small sauce pan over low heat, combine butter, cream cheese, brown sugar, syrup and cinnamon. Whisk together until melted and smooth. Take off heat. Pour half the sauce into the bottom of the tube pan. Sprinkle half of your walnuts and apples over the sauce.
Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Remove biscuits from the can and press each one, all sides, into the sugar/cinnamon mix. Layer biscuits into the tube pan, overlapping each one.
Pour the remaining sauce over the layered biscuits. Sprinkle the remaining walnuts and apples over the top. Place pan into the preheated oven for 25-27 minutes. Remove and allow pan to cool for about 5 minutes. Carefully flip pan onto serving platter and enjoy!
