Linking up to 'HOW-TO tuesday' - Enjoy!
If you missed our 'Who Knew? How To...' last week, take a looky....Homemade Lavender Sugar Scrubs!!
Now, onto cupcakes.....yum!
I am no cake decorator. I leave that to Mimi, my friend Brenda or a lovely bakery.
But what's so wonderful about a cupcake, besides it being a delicious individual portion of cake for just me, is that it doesn't take much to make a cupcake look pretty cute. I can slap on some frosting and stick one of those pretty cupcake picks in and I feel like I've done an okay job.
These marshmallow flower cupcakes, however, make me feel like I can lift my head up and say....I decorate!
First, make some cupcakes.
Next, make some frosting, buy some large and small marshmallows and colored sugar. Oh, and you need a pair of clean kitchen scissors
Frost your cupcakes. Now prepare your marshmallows by cutting a few large and small ones in half. The Sprite was happy to help me do this!
Dunk the cut side of your marshmallow into the colored sugar.
Push the marshmallow gently into the center of the cupcake to form the center of your blossom. Then start an assembly line - dunk cut marshmallows and place onto the cupcakes to form flower centers and petals.
Aren't these cute? And now everyone can say....I decorate!!!!
