Chew on This | Boozy Banana Bread

Do you have some bananas on the edge of oblivion? Do you have some lovely neighbors that are in need of some holiday cheer?

Well, I've got you covered.

This boozy banana bread will win you a spot of honor in everyone's home. And dare I say, a complimentary sidewalk snow shovel.

Get baking!

Here's the recipe:

Boozy Banana Bread
(adapted from Smitten Kitchen…)
4 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 C melted butter
3/4 C brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 t vanilla
1 T bourbon
1 t baking soda
1/4 t salt
1 t cinnamon
1/4-1/2 t groung nutmeg
pinch of ground cloves
1 1/2 C flour
3/4 C chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350℉. Grease a loaf pan (mine was 4.5x8.5) generously.

In a large bowl, mix together your bananas and butter. Add in your sugar, egg, vanilla, bourbon, and baking soda. Next come your spices - add them in! Your flour and walnuts come last. Stir them in and then pour your batter into your loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a tester comes out clean (ovens bake differently - your bread may bake longer or shorter, depending on the size of your loaf pan and your oven). Cool and serve!
